Very similar to the pedigree of Urban Meyer with the Ohio State Buckeyes, Nick Saban is at the top of the college football world in terms of accomplishments in his time with the Alabama Crimson Tide. Saban is consistently doing great things in Tuscaloosa, AL, including winning the most recent National Championship.

Any program in the nation would love to have Saban at the helm, which makes him that much cooler to have for fans of the Crimson Tide. He’s the best coach in college football right now, and possibly the same could be said for all-time when he’s done with his coaching career.

Saban also handled the situation well between rising sophomore quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and rising junior Jalen Hurts last season, and throughout this off-season. Tagovailoa is the likely starter, but Saban is probably doing whatever he can to keep Hurts around this season for depth purposes.

Alabama is the projected No. 1 team in both the SEC and across the country again in 2018. Saban continues to be the most highly regarded coach in the nation and is already delivering some entertaining press conferences about things like cupcake games, headsets, and grad transfers this early in the off-season. More is likely to come.
