All hail King James. He’s continuing his assault on the NBA record books, looking to pass Michael Jordan wherever he can.

For anyone still questioning the greatness of LeBron James, here’s a fun fact that will make the haters think differently.

With 31 points in Game 1 of the NBA, James has now tied the great Micheal Jordan with his 109th 30-point game. Many that will find hate with this statistic, as hate for King James has become an unhealthy certainty within today’s NBA landscape.

No matter how much one hates him, no one can underscore his greatness. The man is just on another basketball planet than the rest of his peers. His first 30-point playoff game came 12-years ago, when he dropped 32 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assist in a 97-86 Game 1 win over the Washington Wizards.

From that point on, King James has been putting on a show when the lights have been the brightest.

There was Game 4 of the 2012 Eastern Conference Finals when LeBron exploded for 40 points and 18 rebounds to power the Miami Heat to a 2-2 tie and give the Heat the momentum to defeat the Indiana Pacers in six games.

Who could ever forget his “signature” performance in 2007, when he scored 48 points, including the final 25 points, in an epic win that would take the wind out of the Detroit Pistons and power the Cavs to their first ever NBA Finals berth. That was a performance for the ages, but he has had even more of those moments, which has cemented him as the best basketball player in the universe.

When the day comes to say goodbye to King James, it will be a sad day for the basketball world. Though there will be other stars that will try to take his place, there will never be another modern-day playoff performer quite like LeBron James.
