4. Cleveland Cavaliers

The Cavaliers need to add serious scoring talent to their roster this summer. If LeBron James comes back to the Cavs he’ll need a stronger supporting cast. If he leaves, the team will be in search of a future number one option on the offensive end.

Porter can provide Cleveland help in either of those two scenarios. He would clearly prefer to play alongside James in the lineup. LeBron’s ability to create off the dribble and fire passes across the court would give Porter Jr. tons of open shots. Think of him as a more athletic version of what Kevin Love is supposed to give the Cavs.

If LeBron leaves, Porter Jr. would feel a lot more pressure to immediately become the team’s go-to option. That might not be ideal for the forward in the short-term, but it would give him a chance to grow into a superstar. It would take quite a few bumps along the way, but Porter Jr. would get a ton of offensive freedom to learn on the job.

Like the Clippers, Cleveland would also need to move up in the draft to take him. There’s an outside chance that Porter Jr. could fall all the way to the Cavaliers at eight, but it’s not something the team’s front office can count on.
