Each NFL team’s biggest breakout candidate

Los Angeles Chargers – Mike Williams
The Los Angeles Chargers never got a real chance to see the impact of their 2017 first-round pick, wide receiver Mike Williams, but they’re hoping that changes in 2018.
The former Clemson star battled injuries from day one of his rookie campaign, missing all of preseason camp as well as the first five games of the regular season. When all was said and done, Williams ended the year with just 11 receptions for 95 yards and zero touchdowns. Other than fellow wide receiver and top ten pick John Ross, Williams was one of the biggest draft disappointments of the first rond.
But 2018 is a new year and Williams seems to think that he more than belongs on this list of breakout players, according to himself:
"“It is what it is,” Williams said. “Even when you’re doing good, you’re going to have haters. Haters are going to hate. Somebody has to hate on you to keep you going. So I appreciate all the haters. But Mike Williams is going to be on top next year, and they’re going to be on the bandwagon. So we are going to take it like that.”"
Haters beware! Williams is on to your ruse and more than ready to prove you wrong. And while the Chargers already have Keenan Allen in the fold, the loss of tight end Hunter Henry for the season to injury only further solidifies the chances that Williams will have a big role to play in his sophomore campaign.
