5 superheroes who would make great best friends

Everyone has that one superhero they look up to, but wouldn’t it be cool to have one as your right hand?
Friday was National Best Friend Day, so naturally, social media blew up with pictures of friends, old and new, accompanied by corny, cute captions. Now, while your friends must be absolutely fabulous, it would be a lie to say you haven’t dreamed of being besties with a superhero.
These five superheroes and heroines would be the super best friends anyone could ever ask for.
1. Deadpool
Deadpool has absolutely zero filter. If you want to know what to wear before your big date, go to Deadpool. He is your number one friend for advice, but don’t be surprised if it is some terrible advice because Deadpool is the wild child of the group. (He is also every friend group’s designated comedian with a sarcastic sense of humor.)
2. Superman
The ultimate superhero is the ultimate friend. When you think of your “go-to guy,” Superman is that guy. Late to work? Superman. Need to lift a couch? Superman. Trying to heat up Ramen but your microwave is broken? Superman. The man can do it all.
3. Spiderman
Artsy photos of people in foreign countries, on city rooftops and in fields of flowers flood Instagram feeds every day. You want to know who takes photos like that? Spiderman – well, Peter Parker. Nonetheless, you have a designated photographer friend to capture all your fun-filled moments as besties. Also, swinging through New York on a web sure beats taking public transportation.

4. Wonder Woman
Wonder Woman is a fighter with a heart of gold. She fights for what is right, and we all need a friend who acts as the angel on our shoulder in times of need. Plus, she’s a woman with a high-power, high-stress job, so she is more than likely down for a girls’ spa day with you. Wonder Woman’s beauty is matched with brains, so you can always count on your lovely sidekick to help with your strategic plans.
5. Groot
Because he’s Groot, obviously. The most selfless of friends, Groot is your friend until the end. Although he is a tree of very few words, you can always understand what the creature is saying. “I am Groot” = “You are my best friend.”
