New York Jets -Cairo Santos

Its hard enough to pretend to care about the New York Jets enough to write about them in this slider, but it’s even more difficult to go through their roster and find someone interesting to write about. We have yet to feature a kicker, so let’s go with recently released Chiefs kicker Cairo Santos, who signed with the Jets for the 2018 season.

How would Santos fair in the game of Fortnite? It’s hard to say, really. Kickers are weird. They are very routine-oriented and superstitious, comparable to goaltenders in hockey. They have to go through their specific routines before each kick or else they will miss.

Cairo Santos is a wild card, but I promised myself I would include at least one kicker and he definitely has the coolest name. For the benefit of not completely wasting this section with meaningless words, let’s play out a scenario in which a kicker applies his superstitions to the game of Fortnite.

You’re playing squads with WR Jermaine Kearse, DE Leonard Williams and Santos. Both Kearse and Williams are down and you are pushing a base with Santos ready to toss down some cover fire from afar.

The opponents spot you so you are quick-building and shooting on the fly. You wait for the cover fire from Santos but receive nothing.

“Cairo! What are you doing!”

“Hold up. I have to switch my gun four times then reload it three times, fire two shots into the ground and then jump in the air twice before I take a shot!”

Dead accurate once he takes the shot though. You’ll get a win, but Santos will be the only player left alive by the time he runs through all of his pre-shot routines.
