DraftKings Golf Lineups — U.S. Open 2018

This is pretty simple as we go through the same process each week. We’ll look at what amounts to three different lineups, two that utilize different building strategies — stars and scrubs, loading up on the mid-tier — and then finally one that I consider to be the best lineup on DraftKings for the 2018 U.S. Open. With that, let’s get into the picks.

Stars and Scrubs

Dustin Johnson ($11,700)
Justin Thomas ($11,000)
Alex Noren ($7,900)
Charles Howell III ($6,700)
Sam Burns ($6,400)
Ryan Evans ($6,200)

Anytime that you’re looking at this type of lineup, you’re going to have variance with the cheaper players that you put into your lineup. However, Howell offers more consistency than you normally see at this price while Evans and Burns offer great upside. With the two big guns at the top, this lineup most certainly has some potential to show out.

Mid-Tier Loadup

Tiger Woods ($9,200)
Brooks Koepka ($9,000)
Bryson DeChambeau ($8,300)
Tommy Fleetwood ($8,100)
Louis Oosthuizen ($7,800)
Francesco Molinari ($7,600)

This is honestly not far from what I think an ideal lineup for this tournament should look like on DraftKings. There are potential winners from start to finish throughout the lineup, which is amazing. But there is also a great deal of consistency with all of these players and any of them missing the cut — with the exception of maybe Molinari — would be quite the shock. As such, this should be considered.

My Ideal DraftKings Lineup

Justin Rose ($9,900)
Phil Mickelson ($8,600)
Branden Grace ($8,400)
Bryson DeChambeau ($8,300)
Tommy Fleetwood ($8,100)
Charles Howell ($6,700)

I’m in love with this lineup and think that it has tremendous upside. Again, it would be a shock if any of these players missed the cut, which means scoring throughout the entire four days of the U.S. Open. What’s more, there are storylines and potential winners throughout this lineup. Subsequently, we could see a really good score from this lineup and one that should win you some money.
