1. Houston Rockets

The Rockets are always on the lookout for shooters. Just when it looked like Eric Gordon’s career might be over due to injuries, the Rockets came calling to save him. Evans may have already been saved by the Grizzlies, but that’s just less work for the Rockets to do.

Much like the situation in Boston, if Evans wants to compete for a title next year, Houston should be at the top of the list. Unlike Boston, he won’t have to wait around to see if their backcourt becomes less crowded.

Evans fits with what the Rockets love to do. He can attack the basket off the dribble and he can spot-up from behind the line. Every postseason, the Rockets seem to run out of players or the players they do have are running on fumes. Evans adds some gas to their tank. He’ll take some pressure off of Gordon, who takes pressure off of Chris Paul, who takes pressure off of James Harden, who takes pressure off of Clint Capela.

Next: Every NBA team's Mount Rushmore

The Rockets spent last offseason filling their roster with defensive monsters who they turned into shooters. But they didn’t lose in the Western Conference Finals because of defense. They lost because they just missed another three. The answer isn’t more defense or LeBron James. The answer is the guy who beat out Steph Curry for Rookie of the Year. The answer is the man who made the Memphis Grizzlies watchable for a game or two. The answer is too easy. The answer is Tyreke Evans.
