BOSTON, MA – MARCH 11: Kyrie Irving /

Boston Celtics

By going to Boston, LeBron could latch onto a readymade contender and take up as much or as little offensive weight as he desired. The Celtics may be the favorite in the East anyway, but adding LeBron to a roster that will get back Gordon Hayward and Kyrie Irving would create definitive separation. Boston likes to play as many versatile wings as possible, and between James, Irving, Hayward, Al Horford, Jaylen Brown, and Jayson Tatum, the Celtics would be able to put an unfair amount of playmaking on the floor.

Of course, the Celtics may not be able to keep all of those guys should James sign there, and reuniting LeBron and Kyrie could recreate friction from the Cleveland days. It seems as though the Celtics believe too much in what they already have to sell the farm for LeBron.
