NBA Free Agency 2018: One reason LeBron James should sign with every team
By Ben Ladner
Houston Rockets
Assuming the involved parties can make the mathematical logistics work, joining Houston might be James’ best chance at winning at title in 2019. James Harden and Chris Paul are two of the best offensive creators in the NBA, and between them and James, the Rockets would have the most playmaking in the league by far. An offense that properly balances those three could only be stopped by an off night from its shooters.
LeBron might have to opt in to the remaining year on his contract and execute a sign-and-trade — a la Chris Paul — to facilitate a move to Houston, and the Rockets would have to unload contracts and slash some of their depth to take him on, but if there is a workable path out there, they’ll pull out all the stops to find it.
