RAW Women’s Championship Match

Nia Jax (c) vs. Ronda Rousey

I can tell you right now that this will not be the best match on the Money in the Bank card but it will certainly be the one that gets the most attention when the night is over, simply because Ronda Rousey is making her first run at the RAW Women’s Championship. Oh yeah…and Nia Jax is there as well. I thought WWE would wait a little while before putting Ronda in this position but they were looking to make a splash at the NBCUniversal Upfront presentation in New York City and this was a way to do just that as Nia was actually the one to throw out the challenge to the former UFC champion, which Rousey obviously accepted. Not only is this Rousey’s first title match but it’s her first singles match in WWE and her first match since her in-ring debut at WrestleMania 34 when she and Kurt Angle defeated Triple H and Stephanie McMahon in a mixed tag. Honestly, I thought that Ronda and Natalya would be battling Alexa Bliss and Mickie James throughout the summer to get Rousey acclimated but WWE seems to want to go for it. The two have had a pretty good chemistry during the build and the face vs. face matchup is always interesting.

Prediction: I hate to see Nia Jax lose her title so quickly after working so hard to obtain it from Alexa Bliss in what was a great moment at WrestleMania but WWE wouldn’t dare have Ronda Rousey lose in her first singles match, would they? Well, not necessarily. I don’t think that Ronda loses clean here but I do think she loses. I’m going out on a limb here but I think the Women’s Money in the Bank match will take place early in the night and then I think we get a Seth Rollins-type situation where that winner inserts herself into the match and pins Nia. So who will that winner be and how does that tie into Ronda Rousey? Let’s take a look.
