2. Kevon Looney

Unable to bring in established talent, Toronto could opt to bring in a young player with possible upside who has spent portions of the last three seasons on an all-time great roster. They know such a player can spell the team’s aging big men in spurt, at least. And they can hope the return on investment is enough to transform those aging big men into possible trade assets. Looney would be both cheaper and younger than a lot of other options. He may also be more of an unknown, having been surrounded by All-Stars and future Hall-of-Famers in his time with Golden State.

Then again, maybe Mario Hezonja should also be headlining this slide, but that would probably bump his pay grade beyond what Toronto’s willing and able to spend.
