3. Charles Clay will make the Pro Bowl

Given the uncertainty around the quarterback position it might surprise you to see success predicted for a Bills receiver. However, tight end is a position that’s going to be important for whoever wins the quarterback battle.

Fortunately for the Bills, they have a solid pass catching option in the form of Charles Clay. He isn’t the first tight end you think of when you consider the elite players at the position, but he’s carved out a really solid career for himself. This year could finally be the season he breaks out and gets the attention he deserves.

To make the Pro Bowl, he’ll need to improve upon his receiving totals of 49 catches for 558 yards in 2017. Clay won’t need to blow those totals away though. Finishing the year with something like 75 catches for 750 yards and a healthy amount of touchdowns should be enough to get him a Pro Bowl berth.

As long as the Bills get reasonable quarterback play, Clay is going to have a big year. It’s not impossible to think he’ll end the campaign as the team’s top receiver. That won’t be great for the Bills record, but it could get the solid tight end a lot of recognition. Look for im to catch a lot of balls this year.
