5 bold predictions for the Baltimore Ravens in 2018
1. The Ravens will lose double-digit games
The Ravens decline has been coming for several season. Harbaugh and his staff deserve a lot of credit for patching together a 9-7 campaign in 2017. The staff’s luck and good fortune is going to run out this year. Baltimore won’t be anywhere near a playoff berth in 2018.
In fact, the Ravens are a good bet to lose at least ten games. They were rather fortunate to go 9-7 last season. The division should be tougher this season. Cleveland will be much-improved and the Bengals will continue to hover right around .500. Since the Steelers aren’t likely to go downhill, it means the Ravens have to get up ground.
The aforementioned quarterback change will certainly be a contributing factor. Jackson’s ceiling is a lot higher than Flacco’s, but his floor is a lot lower. He’s going to have a few horrible outings for this team. Jackson will show flashes of brilliance when he plays, but he’s also going to throw the ball to the other team far too often.
