Average career Win Shares from No. 8 picks, 1985-2017: 27.0

This one is self-explanatory. Detlef Schrempf made a cameo on Parks and Rec and none of the other guys did.

Average career Win Shares from No. 7 picks, 1985-2017: 33.0

Move along. Nothing to see here, nothing to see…

Average career Win Shares from No. 6 picks, 1985-2017: 22.2

No shots at Damian Lillard, but the No. 6 pick is surprisingly shallow.

Average career Win Shares from No. 5 picks, 1985-2017: 48.7

Kevin Garnett, whose prime was mostly wasted on forgettable, poorly-constructed teams in Minnesota, deserves to take this. Just know that Scottie Pippen doesn’t get appreciated enough for how great he was.

Average career Win Shares from No. 4 picks, 1985-2017: 48.0

The No. 4 picks present a moral quandary between the Avant Guard and the Point God. On one hand, I’d take a bullet for Russell Westbrook. On the other, I’m not sure I’d want him on my team. Fine, Chris Paul is probably the right choice here.

There was even one person who picked the Latvian Unicorn. They will remain unnamed because I support anyone who supports Kristaps Porzingis without repercussion.

Special shout outs to Mutombo finger wags and Sheed giving us “ball don’t lie.”

Average career Win Shares from No. 3 picks, 1985-2017: 46.8
