Seattle Seahawks: Macklemore

The Seattle Seahawks missed the playoffs for the first time in five years this past season, as injuries and inconsistent play really hurt the team. Once the crown jewel of the NFC West, Seattle has their work cut out for them this season, as their roster is going to look a lot different, and their coaching staff was shuffled up a bit this offseason.

One of the constants for this team in the last couple of years has been Russell Wilson, who has blossomed into a star quarterback for the team, leading them to two straight Super Bowls. One of Wilson’s close friends is rap star Macklemore, who comes in on our list as the most famous Seahawk fan out there right now.

The 35-year-old, who was born Ben Haggerty, grew up in the Seattle area. Born in Kent, Washington, Macklemore has had a meteoric rise to fame, as his hit single “Thrift Shop,” went to No. 1 on the Billboard Top-100 list.

Macklemore is not only a huge Seahawks fan, but also the Mariners, for whom he performed in front of during Opening Day in 2011. In addition, he has been a fixture at practices and games for the Seahawks, and in 2017, his “Can’t Hold Us,” song was a pump up video for the team.

Also in 2017, Macklemore and Lil Yachty released a song called “Marmalade,” and in the video, he trolls New England Patriots star quarterback Tom Brady. In the video, they drive to the stadium to steal Brady’s jersey, and walk past a bunch of deflated footballs.
