Kansas City Royals: Mike Moustakas

During the Winter, Mike Moustakas figured he would take a look at free agency, and really be able to choose where he played in 2018. Well, that really did not work out, as Moustakas got minimal attention from the other 29 MLB teams, and ended up re-signing with the Kansas City Royals.

With the Royals stunningly sitting in last place in the AL Central, the team could decide to move Moustakas to bring in some young talent. Moustakas plays a premium position at third base, and is quietly putting together another solid season at the plate for the Royals.

In addition to solid production at the plate, Moustakas also comes with a fairly decent price tag. With the Royals pretty much out of it already as we enter July, the team needs to bring in some talent to their farm system, and a player like Moustakas could bring a pretty good return.

Moustakas is a good all-around baseball player, and he also has played in the biggest of games, as he helped the Royals win the World Series back in 2015. His kind of poise at the plate, and in the field, could be the missing piece of the puzzle for a team looking to make a serious run to the World Series this season.

It is pretty incredible to see how far the Royals have fallen, as they were the class of the division, and Major League Baseball only three years ago. They have lost a lot of talent in the past couple of years, and Moustakas could be the next domino to fall.
