Seattle Mariners: Kyle Lewis

Coming into the 2018 season, not many people figured that the Seattle Mariners would make noise in the AL West. The division has been headlined by the Houston Astros as of late, and the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim looked to be the No. 2 team in the division.

Seattle had other ideas, and are quietly putting together a solid season in the Northwest. The Mariners are actually two games over .500, and are one of only two teams in the division with a record that shows more wins than losses.

When it comes to the trade deadline, the Mariners are going to have some big decisions to make. They have an opportunity to return to the postseason for the first time since 2001, and that may be too big of an opportunity to pass up. If they want to bring in some talent at the trade deadline, they may have to make a major move, and it could include their top prospect.

Kyle Lewis was the first round pick of the Mariners back in 2016, and is currently rated as the best prospect the organization has to offer. The 22-year old has been working his way up the Mariners organization, and many view him as a potential All Star player at the Major League level.

The Mariners would have to get something special in return for Lewis, and Toronto Blue Jays starter J.A. Happ could be another solid left-hander to add to the rotation. They have the talent to make a run this season, bringing some good baseball back the wonderful city of Seattle.
