  • Lombardi Award (2007)
  • Outland Trophy (2007)
  • Bronko Nagurski Trophy (2007)
  • Lott Trophy (2007)
  • Consensus All-American (2007)
  • SEC Defensive Player of the Year (2007)
  • 2× First-team All-SEC (2006, 2007)

Dorsey was a key rotation player as a freshman and sophomore in 2004 and 2005 under Nick Saban then Les Miles. He had 46 tackles, five sacks and six tackles for a loss between his first two years then broke out as a junior in 2006 with 64 tackles, 8.5 for a loss and three sacks.

As a senior, he had his best season in every statistical category and became the most dominant defensive player in college football. With 69 tackles, 12.5 behind the line, seven sacks and a forced fumble, he anchored the defense that led the Tiger to a BCS National Championship in 2007. Dorsey took home just about every award imaginable including SEC Defensive Player of the Year, the Lombardi Award, Outland Trophy, Nagurski Trophy and Lott Trophy despite playing most of the season with a serious knee injury and tailbone injury that caused him to miss a start during the season.

Bonus Fact: Glenn Dorsey was drafted fifth overall in the 2008 NFL Draft, making him one of nine LSU players since 2007 to be picked in the top 10 of the first round.
