Marcus Mariota might be the best pocket passer who was also a threat to tuck it and run for a 60-yard touchdown ever to play in college. He has a pretty strong case as the most efficient passer all-time too.

He had a career completion percentage of 66.8 and threw just 14 interceptions in 1,167 pass attempts compared to 105 touchdowns. Until he threw an interception with 27 seconds remaining in the 2014 national championship game loss to Ohio State, Mariota had the lowest interception percentage of any quarterback in college football history.

In his three years starting at Oregon before continuing his career in the NFL, the Honolulu native accounted for 10,796 passing yards and ran for 2,237 yards while leading the Ducks to a 36-5 record. His best season came as a redshirt junior when he threw for 4,454 yards, ran for 770 and totaled 57 touchdowns on the ground and in the air with only four interceptions.

Bonus Fact: A day after he won the Maxwell, Walter Camp and Davey O’Brien Awards at the annual College Football Awards ceremony, he flew back to Eugene where he collected his college diploma, graduating in three and a half semesters.
