4. Brighton Zeuner becomes the youngest athlete to win two gold medals in X Games history

If it is possible to be the greatest of all time in a professional sport at 14 years old, it would be Brighton Zeuner. This three-time X Games competitor first jumped onto the skateboarding scene back in 2016 when she debuted at the X Games in Austin. Just missing the podium that year, she came back to win gold in 2017 and hasn’t looked back

As the reigning women’s Skateboard Park gold medalist, the pressure to repeat was on Zeuner coming into this competition. Zeuner came out in her first run and immediately the fans watching knew that she would be the one to beat. She put up a score of 87.66 on that first run. That first score could have won her the gold by itself since no other athlete hit that mark, but 87 wasn’t good enough for Zeuner.

She came out in her second run and put the final nail in the coffin. She put up a huge 90.33 on the board and secured her second gold medal in as many years. Living in California, Zeuner has been a skate pro since she was 11. She has a halfpipe in her backyard, and it shows.

She began her winning run with a huge Indy 360, followed by a kickflip on the wall. It is clear that Zeuner will be on top of the podium for years to come. Zeuner is constantly pushing the limits of skateboard park.
