13. Ryan Williams pulls off an insane trick during BMX Big Air with no brakes on his bike

Ryan Williams is an X Games rookie who made a name for himself in his first ride of BMX Big Air. As one of the only riders to not have brakes on his bike, Williams put his safety on the line in order to throw the sickest trick he could. In his first run of The Real Cost BMX Big Air Final, Williams threw a trick that had the people watching from the crowd and at home staring with mouths wide open.

As Williams flew over the massive 63-foot gap in the Big Air ramp, he let go of his bike and flipped it 360 degrees right in front of him. If that wasn’t insane enough, Williams somehow was able to get back on the bike and continue up the monster half pipe and hit over 17 feet of air.

Sailing over that huge gap that separates the two portions of the ramp can create an enormous amount of speed. The fact that Williams’ bike has no brakes means that he must improvise by putting his foot on the back tire of the bike. All this is happening while he getting ready to send himself up a 27-foot quarterpipe.

Not only is Williams known for his impressive bike skills, but he is also a talented scooter rider. He can be seen pulling sick tricks on his scooter as part of the well-known Nitro Circus.
