WWE hall of famer Sting recently spoke to Lilian Garcia on the Chasing Glory podcast, where he explained that he is indeed finish with wrestling due to injuries.

There’s been much speculation on whether or not Sting will have one more match, especially with the Undertaker. To put these rumors to rest as of right now, Sting recently appeared on the Chasing Glory podcast with former WWE announcer Lillian Garcia, where he confirmed to Garcia that his wrestling career in over. As he’s been inactive for almost three years, Sting made note of the injuries he’s sustained during the interview, which he indicated as the major reason why he’s staying retired from wrestling.

“Yeah, I’m really done,” Sting said. “I mean my neck doesn’t bother me at all.

“For the first couple of months after the match, I had an ache that would go down to the left side of my neck and down into my left trap. It was like a dull ache that was just there all the time, and it was hard to sleep. I don’t have any side effects, any trouble, so all I know is the neurosurgeon said, ‘You are so lucky there wasn’t a catastrophe that happened.’ I’ve got to be careful, and it’s sad too because even at my age I feel like I could still go, I could still have a real good Undertaker match, for example. We could tell an incredible story with both the chemistry and the mystique of both of them.”

This may come as a disappointment for many wrestling fans, as it’s been speculated for years, even before Sting came to WWE, that a match with the Undertaker was to take place. But now that Sting has confirmed that he’s officially done from wrestling, it’s interesting to wonder how WWE could’ve booked an Undertaker vs. Sting match if that were to happen. Could it be possible that Sting may change his mind and decide to work a match with the Undertaker, or is he indeed done for good?
