As a sophomore, Chico McClatcher was Washington’s third-leading receiver in 2016. He totaled 574 receiving yards with an average of 18.5 yards per reception and also carried the ball 18 times for 131 yards.

He was expected to take on a larger role in 2017 in one of the top two receiving spots with 1,000-yard receiver John Ross departing for the NFL. A broken ankle ended his season three games into 2017 and although the Huskies still had Dante Pettis on the outside, the passing game took a hit as Jake Browning turned in his worst of three seasons as a starter.

Now returning for his senior season, Jake Browning will look for a major bounce-back season out of McClatcher. The two have connected for more completions, more yards, and more touchdowns than any other combo the Huskies will have this year.

With Myles Gaskin and Salvon Ahmed at running back, Washington has one of the best rushing duos in the country and the dominance of their ground game should do a lot to open things up for Browning and McClatcher on the outside.
