The Magic have struggled immensely since the departure of Dwight Howard but have had an abundance of talent over the last three decades most franchises in the bottom third of this list can only dream of.
Injuries derailed McGrady, Grant Hill, and Hardway. All three are perennial, “what if,” contenders. O’Neal left, Howard wanted out but the Magic have a wonderful city, a new front office regime, and a state with no taxes. It could be worse.
It has been a rough go of late but things could turn around quickly if Mo Bamba and Jonathan Isaac are the defensive kingpins many expect them to be.
