One great decade is all it takes when you line up six titles and knock them all down without ever going to Game 7.
We will never know what the Rose-led Bulls could’ve accomplished had he stayed healthy, perhaps they interrupt James’ run, perhaps not. It’ll be pub talk long after Rose has retired from this league.
Pippen is the unsung hero of the Bulls franchise. Staying and thriving in the shadow of Jordan is incredibly noteworthy when you look at the shortened runs of Erving-Malone, Bryant-O’Neal, Durant-Westbrook, and James-Irving. Lining up the primes of two stars who can co-exist for a decade in relative harmony is a necessity for sustained success at the top in the NBA.
Jordan and James are going to be locked in the infamous GOAT debate for all of time but Jordan’s six-for-six is a thing of irrefutable beauty.
