Blessed with two of the most talented player this millennium has produced but cursed to never see them play together, the Pelicans may have stumbled onto something of note with their current core.
Chris Paul, David West, Peja Stojakovic, Morris Peterson, and Tyson Chandler were the appetizer for the meal Davis, Jrue Holiday, and Co. are now seeking to layout. The Pelicans current duo had been burdened heavily by the injury bug to start their careers but have enjoyed relatively good health over the last two seasons.
This past postseason, Davis and Holiday burned the Blazers. The embarrassment in Portland was bested only by their own 2007 and 1984 draft blunders. The association’s youngest franchise could be headed into a special next era. That is, if anyone can ever topple those daunting Golden State Warriors.
