The New York Jets were expected to play so bad last season that they would be guaranteed the first overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft and get USC quarterback Sam Darnold. Well, the Jets actually played some solid football at times last season, and ended up missing out on the first pick in the draft.

However, sitting with the No. 6 overall pick, the team traded up into the No. 3 spot, and to their surprise, Darnold was still available when they made their selection. With their franchise quarterback in tow, although he has not signed his contract as of July 28, it seems like the team may  be headed in the right direction.

During the 2016 season, Quincy Enunwa established himself as a pretty solid wide receiver for the Jets, hauling in 58 catches for over 850 yards. Heading into 2017, many felt he would be a top weapon in the Jets offense once again, but a neck injury suffered in August robbed him of his entire season.

Finally back on the field, Enunwa is going to make a major impact for the Jets in 2018. The team brought in guys like Terrelle Pryor this offseason and Jermaine Kearse via trade last season to bolster the wide receiver group, but if healthy, you have to think Enunwa will be the top option for whoever is playing quarterback for the Jets.

Robby Anderson had a great season in 2017, but he has had some issues off the field, and cannot be relied upon at this point in his career. Enunwa showed breakout ability in 2016, and two years later, he will finally be the breakout wide receiver this franchise is missing.
