Milwaukee Brewers

During the offseason prior to the 2018 season, the Milwaukee Brewers were one of the more active teams in all of baseball. They brought in players like Christian Yelich and Lorenzo Cain, as they really solidified their outfield in their quest to win the NL Central.

In 2018, the Brewers have been one of the better teams in the National League, and heading into the trade deadline, they found themselves only one game back of the first place Chicago Cubs. That meant that they would be buyers during the deadline, and they certainly got their money’s worth.

Milwaukee made some of the biggest splashes of the trade deadline season, bringing in players that could help them overcome the Cubbies in the division. They added to their infield big time by bringing in players like Jonathan Schoop and Mike Moustakas, and they now may have the best overall lineup in the NL Central.

In addition to those bats, the Brewers also added a premium reliever to their stable, as they traded for Joakim Soria of the Chicago White Sox. Soria has been a rare bright spot for the White Sox this season, and will now try to overcome the team that shares the same city that he used to play in during his time in the American League.

This Brewers team is legit, and if they can get on a hot streak, they are going to be very hard to beat. They have a devastating bullpen, and while the starting rotation may not be the best, they have enough depth everywhere else to make a serious run this Fall.
