4. Anthony Miller, Chicago Bears

The Chicago Bears made an extremely aggressive move during the 2018 NFL Draft to bring in Anthony Miller. They traded a fourth-round pick and a future second-rounder. Surrendering that type of draft capital shows how much the Bears like Miller’s potential.

Adding Miller was just one of several big moves the Bears made to increase their offensive firepower. They utilized the free agency period to bring in Allen Robinson, Taylor Gabriel and Trey Burton.

The three free-agent signees will have significant roles in the offense. However, Miller has used the early part of training camp to stake his claim on the No. 3 wide receiver spot.

Most of the reports coming out of the Bears camp, including one here by the Chicago Tribune, foresee Miller easily landing the job. His combination of quickness, route running and big-play ability have really stood out.

Chicago’s revamped offensive attack should offer more opportunity for its playmakers. New head coach Matt Nagy brings a unique west coast system. It features plenty of out-of-the-box concepts aimed to get the ball in the hands of his weapons.

Miller is absolutely one of the receivers who will see targets. The only real concern is whether or not second-year quarterback, Mitchell Trubisky, is ready to take the next step in his development.
