Jay Cutler, not Tom Brady, the GOAT? Apparently

Is this your GOAT? A fan brilliantly edited the NFL’s Top 100 list so that Jay Cutler took the No. 1 spot instead of Tom Brady.

The NFL offseason is a time where news goes to die. As such, news outlets are always reaching to find new content to fill fans’ incessant needs.

It’s an especially trying time for channels like NFL Network that are dedicated to football 24/7. That’s why they made the NFL Top 100 list, to put out something that will get people arguing for weeks on end. Their 2018 list has been out for a while, and league MVP Tom Brady unsurprisingly took the top spot.

But in a video that you didn’t know you needed in your life, a fan took the time to edit out Brady and put in Jay Cutler’s highlights. Click here to see it in all its glory.

Since Brady took the no. 1 spot in 2017 as well, it looks like Cutler was the best player in the league for two years running. This despite the fact that Cutler was limited to five games the season prior. The video gets downright obscene when the first thing you see is Tyreek Hill saying, “If you had to compare him to the GOAT in any other sport, it’d have to be Michael Jordan.”

It should tell you everything about Cutler’s season that they could only string together two minutes’ worth of highlights. Nevertheless, some of the clips are actually impressive, including the ones against the New England Patriots, ironically.

Cutler finished his lone season with the Miami Dolphins with 19 touchdowns to 14 interceptions. Certainly not GOAT-worthy, but considering his interception rate in some other seasons, it was somewhat of an improvement.

However, this video is a much better send-off of Cutler’s career than the mediocre season he spent with the Dolphins that saw them miss the playoffs. Hopefully, he sees it and references it at some point when he’s in the broadcast booth.
