Dave Meltzer from the Wrestling Observer has reported that although Matt Hardy is indeed suffering from an injury, he still is expected to continue wrestling.

Raw superstar and wrestling veteran Matt Hardy has been an interesting topic over the week, as many rumored he may be on his way out of the company due to a serious injury he might’ve sustained. In regard to all the speculation concerning Hardy, Dave Meltzer from the Wrestling Observer has reported that Hardy’s messages on social media didn’t mean he was planning on retiring soon. Rather, those tweets were interpreted as the fact that he won’t be able to wrestle forever.

However, that still does not mean he isn’t suffering from some kind of an injury, as Meltzer also stated that while Hardy is indeed injured, he isn’t in a lot of pain and is expected to go through a rehab treatment.

“He said that his lower back and pelvis are fusing together from all the punishment he’s taken in his career,” Meltzer said.

“He is in pain, not terrible pain and will be undergoing new rehab treatment that he hopes will help. Everything as far as what he’s doing is being played by ear but those were not retirement tweets, but they were to note that he’s not going to be wrestling forever either.”

With all that being said, even though those tweets may have not been meant as retirement from WWE, it’s still to early to tell on how long Hardy will continue to wrestle for the company. Many have criticized the creative direction that Hardy has gone through with the “Woken” gimmick, which was ridiculously popular among hardcore wrestling fans from his time as “Broken” Matt Hardy prior to his latest WWE return.

However, his fans should be glad to know that he’s planning on continuing on after he heals up.
