1. Sidney Crosby

Wrap your head around this: Crosby has never been on a cover of any hockey video game made. How? Love him or hate him; you probably cannot beat him.

Crosby has been and still is the best player in the world by a mile. A great American novel cannot fit the amount of qualities that Crosby contains every single season he plays. Some say Connor McDavid is giving Crosby a run for his money, but even the Oiler is taking notes when saying this according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette:

"“He just finds a way to get it done,” McDavid said. “He finds a way to win for his team. You definitely take some notes on what to do in certain situations. “When you win two Cups and two Conn Smythes back-to-back, you’re doing something right. I just need to figure out what it is he’s doing.”"

He picked up right where Mario Lemieux left off and did more to save the Pittsburgh Penguins over the course of their franchise history. Three Stanley Cups and a multitude of individual awards have made Crosby the face of the Penguins and the NHL itself.

Every player and young hockey fan knows of Crosby. Even people who don’t follow hockey that closely have some awareness as to who Crosby is. He’s the leader of hockey at the moment, and EA should have cashed in on Crosby a long time ago.
