Now that we’ve reached The Bold Type season 2 finale, does anyone else feel like we watched a slower season? A slightly less polished season, if you will?

From Jane’s prolonged woe-is-me vibe to last week’s lack of surprises between Sutton and her mother, it’s almost like The Bold Type played it safe this season. Of course, the show remained current and tackled heavy topics, but it felt more like going through the motions than taking a strong stance and engaging viewers in the conversation.

This week, the girls will head to Paris for the season finale (how does Jane get there?), and it looks like it’ll be a fun episode. At least, it should be, since it’s the season finale.

"Sutton’s professional dreams come true when she jets off to Paris for Fashion Week, but while there she gains a new perspective on her situation. Jane moves forward with her fertility plan until she learns surprising news about her options and is faced with Ben and Pinstripe’s different solutions. Kat faces pressure from Jacqueline to make their Paris party a success while attempting to reset her relationship with Adena."

Hopefully, Adena and Kat will find a way to make things work or split amicably without destroying the audience. At this time, it’s hard to choose between Ben and Pinstripe, since they both bring different things to the table, so Jane will certainly have an interesting decision to make. And Sutton…? Or should we say, and Sutton and Richard…?
