Fantasy Football: Ranking the top 25 quarterbacks
By Jon Dove
21. Jameis Winston, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Winston is one of the harder fantasy quarterbacks to rank. He’s someone capable of having a huge season, but his suspension muddies the waters. His overall development as a quarterback also hasn’t progresses as expected.
This is another quarterback I’d wait on in order to see if he drops far enough in the draft to equal great value.
22. Derek Carr, Oakland Raiders
Carr is coming off a down year and now has to learn the complicated Jon Gruden offense. It’ll be interesting to see if he’s able to pick up the feel quick enough to provide fantasy value.
23. Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys
Prescott’s group of wide receivers leaves a lot to be desired. Allen Hurns is the most proven commodity with Cole Beasley having the best chemistry with Prescott. Rookie Michael Gallup is someone to keep an eye on and could really help Prescott’s value.
However, the presence of Ezekiel Elliott stunts Prescott’s production and overall upside.
24. Tyrod Taylor, Cleveland Browns
The Browns have been very vocal about the fact that Taylor is their starting quarterback. He’s a steady performer who can get you points with both his legs and arm. Having weapons like Josh Gordon and Jarvis Landry will also help.
25. Case Keenum, Denver Broncos
Keenum isn’t someone with huge fantasy upside. However, he would sever as a good backup on an offense that could be more explosive than expected. Denver has a good offensive with weapons on the outside.
The uncertainty surrounding the ground game could force the ball into Keenum’s hands more often.
