It’s been announced by WWE that John Cena is expected to take on Kevin Owens at the Super Show-Down in Australia this October.

It’s been announced on one of WWE’s Twitter pages that John Cena, who’s been advertised to appear at the Super Show-Down event in Australia, will be facing against Raw superstar and former Universal champion Kevin Owens.

This may come as a surprise to many, considering that because the show in Australia is being promoted as a spectacle. It would be expected Cena would be someone who has much more star-power than Owens, despite Owens being one of the most talented wrestlers on the roster.

And since Owens hasn’t been booked to look like much of a credible challenger for Cena since moving to Monday Night Raw, it might be hard for fans to take that match seriously if it’s being advertised as one of their main attractions on the show.

On the other hand, both Owens and Cena have worked a singles program years ago when Owens first arrived on the main roster.

Because of this, some people could be excited over these two getting in the ring again, as their matches in the past were received overwhelmingly positive reviews from fans and critics alike.

Another reason why this match could be exciting is the fact that Cena could be returning to WWE TV soon.

Since the Super Show-Down event will be broadcast on the WWE network, it’s possible that WWE may try to bring back Cena on TV in order to help build up this upcoming match for fans to get invested in.

The Australian show is being hyped as a major spectacle, with top stars such as Roman Reigns, Undertaker and Triple H scheduled to appear.

Will WWE actually put effort into building up this match between Owens and Cena at the Super Show-Down, or will this match be just promoted as a typical live-event bout for months to come?
