No, just because Scott Frost is gone doesn’t mean the Central Florida Knights are helpless. The unofficial, self-proclaimed 2017 national champions went undefeated last season with an impressive Peach Bowl victory over Auburn to silence all doubters.

McKenzie Milton returns as a dark-horse Heisman contender under center, but how will he perform without Frost at the helm? He passed for 4,037 yards and 37 touchdowns with only nine interceptions a season ago. He is one of the best quarterbacks in college football and he has a top-tier offense returning around him.

Adrian Killins is back after rushing for 790 yards and 10 touchdowns but he’ll have a relatively inexperienced offensive line in front of him.

Defensively, star linebacker Shaquem Griffin is gone, but Titus Davis and Pat Jasinski return to the linebacker corps. The secondary, which struggled last season, can only get better from here. This side of the ball is a concern, but improvement can’t be far off.

Josh Heupel will have big shoes to fill, but Frost left the cupboard full. Can they plow through the 2018 schedule with another unbeaten record?
