DraftKings fantasy golf picks: The Northern Trust 2018
7,000-8,000
Rafa Cabrera-Bello ($7,900)
While there was a spell where Cabrera-Bello was a stay-away after big start to the year, he’s come up big as of late with three-straight top-20 finishes, including a T10 at the PGA and then a T11 at the Wyndham last week. Nice value with this play here.
Xander Schauffele ($7,800)
In truth, Schauffele isn’t playing his best golf right now. Having said that, he turned it on in the FedEx Cup Playoffs last week, and now he has the chance to do that again with some good play in his pocket from relatively recently (T2 at The Open Championship a little more than a month ago).
Louis Oosthuizen ($7,700)
Oosthuizen really hasn’t played all that much this season, but has been solid as of late with his worst finish out of his last five starts being just T28. He has plenty of upside obviously, but you have to hope he’s ready to compete with these more well-seasoned guys this week at The Northern Trust.
Ian Poulter ($7,600)
Only four missed cuts and five top-10 finishes is a nice look if you’re thinking about Ian Poulter for your DraftKings lineup. What’s more, he went T12 at the Canadian and T10 at the Bridgestone before tying for 31st at the PGA. That’s a solid little run and he could be worth your while at this price.
Stewart Cink ($7,500)
It’s been one heck of a year for Cink, who most recently notched his third top-10 finish of the year (third top-5 finish as well) as he tied for fourth at the PGA Championship. He’s been steady and this could be a nice play at this tier.
Billy Horschel ($7,300)
Horschel’s consistency hasn’t been nearly what you might like it to be when building your DraftKings lineup. However, he finished strong at the Wyndham Championship, and he has the upside to get hot and compete with some of the best in the world.
Kevin Tway ($7,100)
There were times this year when Tway wasn’t playing his best golf, but that’s not been of late. He’s reeled off three consecutive top-25 finishes coming into this, including going T11 at the Wyndham last week.
