There are many brilliant offensive minds in the National Football League. Norv Turner is one of those on the list. Although his offenses have struggled recently, one must not forget the personnel that he had to work with. Turner has not had a quarterback of Newton’s caliber since Philip Rivers when he was the head coach of the-then San Diego Chargers.

Working with the passing attack has always been Turner’s strength. When equipped with good talent, he has made his passing offenses top 10 in the NFL. For the first time in awhile, Turner has the combination of good receivers and a capable quarterback. Newton will benefit from a great offensive mind calling plays.

While Turner’s career has been somewhat “hit or miss,” as far as overall offensive efficiency, when he has had a good year, it is a great year. Newton and Panthers appear to be a good fit for him. Like the rest of the offense, Newton will have a great year of development and Panthers fans should be quietly optimistic about Turner’s arrival.
