4. Newcastle hand Chelsea their first league defeat of the season

If you’re looking for an upset in the Premier League this weekend then look no further than Sunday’s meeting between Newcastle and Chelsea. This game may sound easy to call but if anything Chelsea look like the bad bet here.

In their last five visits to the St. James’ Park, Chelsea have only managed to come away with one point – a 2-2 draw in 2015. The rest of these results have been emphatic Newcastle victories that are billed as upsets when perhaps they should be considered the contrary.

Maurizio Sarri came through his first big test last weekend when his side led 2-0 against Arsenal only to be pegged back and then go on to find a late winner. That kind of determination is what is needed to beat this well-organised Newcastle side.

The Magpies will come to play though which they showed in their home match against Tottenham – a match they were unfortunate to lose considering how many chances they had in front of goal.

Rafa Benitez will want his side to be more clinical and if they are then Chelsea will face some real problems on Sunday. The Blues defense looked shaky against Arsenal and Newcastle can definitely exploit this, especially with the backing of their home fans.

This will be a close match but Maurizio Sarri is going to taste defeat for the first time in the Premier League as Benitez’s Newcastle run out 2-1 winners.
