Philadelphia Eagles – Reggie White

Established in 1933, the Philadelphia Eagles actually began their professional football life as the replacement for the Frankford Yellow Jackets. Since then, they have been a mainstay in the NFL, and aside from 1943, when they joined teams with the Pittsburgh Steelers to be the Phil-Pitt Steagles, they have been synonymous with the City of Brotherly Love.

Prior to the NFL merger, the Eagles won three championships, with their first coming in 1948. They actually went back-to-back in 1949, and won their last title in 1960. They would not win another championship until their magical run this past Winter.

The Eagles shocked the world when they beat the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl this past February, as they did it with a backup quarterback in Nick Foles. Many expect them to challenge for a repeat this season, and with Carson Wentz coming back healthy, their offense will be even more explosive in 2018.

When it comes to throwback jerseys, you have to love the Kelly Green uniforms that the team wore during the 1980s and 1990s. Sure, the color goes back to the beginning of the franchise, but memories of Reggie White and Randall Cunningham come to mind when thinking of that color jersey.

Philadelphia loves their Eagles, and while the team has caused them headaches throughout the years, they have one of the more loyal fan bases in professional sports. Guys like White and Cunningham are still well-represented inside Lincoln Financial, as are those beautiful kelly green jerseys.
