San Francisco 49ers – Joe Montana

One of the best dynasties in the history of professional sports came from the San Francisco 49ers, who absolutely dominated the football landscape back in the 1980s. With players like Jerry Rice and Joe Montana, the 49ers were able to carve up defenses with ease, and they ended up winning five Super Bowls from 1981-94.

Established back in 1946, the San Francisco 49ers were a charter member of the AAFC. In 1950, they made the move to the NFL, where they have since become an iconic franchise. Outside of the five Super Bowls, the 49ers have also won 19 division championships, and have lost only one Super Bowl in six attempts.

The dynasty for the 49ers started when they drafted Joe Montana, who was not selected until the third round of the 1979 NFL Draft. A lanky kid out of Notre Dame, he was not high on many draft boards, but if you re-drafted that year’s class, I am sure he would be the top name selected.

Those classic red jerseys from back in the glory days of the 1980s were sharp, and those are the must-have for any 49ers fan. They may be just red shirts wit white numbers, but they represent the best of times for the franchise, and you could get so may stars from years past.

The trade for Jimmy Garoppolo has every 49ers fan thinking this team could surprise some people, especially after winning their last five games in 2017. They made sure they brought in talent on both sides of the ball this offseason, and if Jimmy G is legit, they could be in for a nice run in 2018.
