Fantasy Football mock draft: 15 rounds for 10-team PPR league
By Jon Dove
Team 1: C.J. Anderson, RB, Panthers
Anderson couldn’t make a go of it with the Denver Broncos so not sure why everyone expects it to work with the Panthers. One positive is that he will get the lion’s share of carries should Christian McCaffrey miss any time.
Team 2: Devante Parker, WR, Dolphins
The Devante Parker train seems to have finally run out of steam. This kid just can’t stay healthy and that’s just maddening for fantasy owners. Team 2 has some injury concerns at wide receiver with Parker, Kelvin Benjamin and Corey Davis.
Team 3: Jimmy Garoppolo, QB, 49ers
Garoppolo still has a lot to prove, but has shown enough in a small sample size to warrant this pick. Team 3 could just hit the waiver wire to string quarterbacks if it doesn’t work out.
Team 4: Minnesota Vikings
Another defensive off the board and again of the elite variety. It’s going to be frustrating when Team 4 has to roster two defenses during the Vikings bye.
Team 5: Kenny Stills, WR, Dolphins
Stills has maintained his game-breaking speed, but still has to deal with the inconsistent play of quarterback Ryan Tannehill. This isn’t a horrible pick as Stills has shown flashes in the past. Maybe this is the year he and Tannehill breakout.
Team 6: James White, RB, Patriots
White has been heavily involved during the preseason which could be a sign of things to come. He’s an elite pass catcher and someone that has worked well with Brady in the past. However, the problem is trying to figure our Bill Belichick’s rotatioin.
Team 7: Nick Chubb, RB, Browns
Team 7 is all aboard the rookie running back train with Chubb, Saquon Barkley and Rashaad Penny. It doesn’t look like a bad strategy when you considered the talent these three possess.
My Team: Marqise Lee, WR, Jaguars
This is another pick that I didn’t really love. I felt a little thin at receiver and somewhere believe Lee can be a strong fantasy option. The problem is the Jaguars have a crowded receiving corps and Lee has always struggled to stay healthy.
Team 9: Duke Johnson, RB, Browns
Johnson has a chance to be a real steal this late in the draft. He’s a strong pass catcher who won’t loose time to either Carlos Hyde or Nick Chubb.
Team 10: Bilal Powell, RB, Jets
The true order of the Jets running back depth chart remains a mystery. Most figure that Isaiah Crowell will emerge as the winner, but Powell knows the offense and has shown flashes.
