Fantasy Football mock draft: 15 rounds for 10-team PPR league
By Jon Dove
Team 10: Jordan Wilkins, RB, Colts
Wilkins is a sleeper pick to emerge as the Colts top running back. He faces some competition, but the battle is still wide open.
Team 9: Jordan Reed, TE, Redskins
This could finally be the year where Reed’s draft position matches his production. The injury concerns remain, but he could provide a few strong performances.
My Team: Calvin Ridley, WR, Falcons
I went with the upside play here with Ridley. He’s a good athlete with sound route running skills. It’s only a matter of time before he’s the second most targeted player on the team. There’s potential here for some big-time production.
Team 7: Los Angeles Rams
The Rams defense has a chance to put up some huge fantasy numbers. They should have Aaron Donald back in the mix who will tally sacks. However, the additions of Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib bring touchdown potential from the secondary.
Pharoh Cooper also deserves a mention as one of the better return men in the league.
Team 6: Kyle Rudolph, TE, Vikings
Kirk Cousins has a long history of getting the tight end position involved in the action. Rudolph is an established target who could have a career year with Cousins in town.
Team 5: Ty Montgomery, RB, Packers
Montgomery holds more value in a PPR league than in standard. He isn’t going to be the team’s every-down back, but he should see plenty of action on passing downs. Durability is a question mark that’s keeping his draft position down.
Team 4: Chris Carson, RB, Seahawks
Rashaad Penny has had a rough preseason dealing with an injury and lack of production. He has been out played by Chris Carson who will open the season as the starter. Penny may eventual take over the lead role, but Carson will have value early in the season.
Team 3: Cameron Meredith, WR, Saints
Meredith had a breakout year two seasons ago with the Chicago Bears. However, he was unable to build off that success after suffering a knee injury last year. Meredith is now with the Saints and will be receiving passes from Drew Brees.
Team 2: George Kittle, TE, 49ers
Kittle quietly had a very strong rookie season. He showed the ability to both move the chains and attack the seam. Don’t be surprised if he develops into one of Jimmy Garoppolo’s favorite targets.
Team 1: Allen Hurns, WR, Cowboys
Health problems have derailed Hurns’ once promising career. He is still young and has a great opportunity to be the Cowboys No. 1 receiver. Hurns has proven that he can take the top off a defense and provide some big plays.
