NASHVILLE, TN – DECEMBER 24: Todd Gurley II
NASHVILLE, TN – DECEMBER 24: Todd Gurley II /

Team 1: Todd Gurley, RB, Rams

Gurley is the safest bet to be the top pick in most fantasy drafts. He’s dual threat who’ll provide points as a runner and in the passing attack. The Rams offensive attack is very explosive and Gurley is their top playmaker.

Team 2: Le’Veon Bell, RB, Steelers

Bell is going to be a very polarizing fantasy player. He has years of proven production, but heads into the season still locking in a contract battle with the Steelers. However, he is a PPR monster and is worthy of this pick.

Team 3: David Johnson, RB, Cardinals

Despite working his way back from a knee injury, Johnson projects to be a high volume contributor for the Cardinals. His health and the offensive line issues in Arizona are cause for concern.

Team 4: Antonio Brown, WR, Pittsburgh

Brown will be the first wide receiver taken in most drafts. In PPR leagues, there’s a case to be made fro him to potentially go No. 1 overall. Brown is  just so reliable and so heavily targeted that he is almost guaranteed to put up huge numbers.

Team 5: Ezekiel Elliott, RB, Cowboys

Elliott has put last year’s suspension issues behind him and is ready to dominate. Dallas’ passing attack is full of question marks so look for them to lean on Elliott. He could even see increased action as a pass catcher.

Team 6: Alvin Kamara, RB, Saints

Kamara is the ultimate PPR running back. He’s someone the Saints look to get involved all over the field. Mark Ingram is suspended for the first four games which means more action for Kamara.

Team 7: Saquon Barkley, RB, Giants

The Giants used the No. 2 overall pick on Barkley so he can be a main cog in their offensive attack. He is going to be involved in both the running and passing game. Don’t be surprised if he tops 25+ touches per game.

My Team: DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Texans

Deshaun Watson appears to be back to full health which means big things for Hopkins. I considered Melvin Gordon here, but just see Hopkins producing bigger numbers.

Team 9: Odell Beckham Jr., WR, Giants

It’s going to be interesting to see where Beckham Jr.’s final ADP lands. He obviously has the talent to be a top-5 fantasy player, but he also comes with some injury and behavioral concerns.

Team 10: Melvin Gordon, RB, Chargers

Gordon is the Chargers featured back and someone who is a big-play threat. Los Angeles loves to get him work as both a runner and pass catcher.
