41. Marius Grigonis, SF, Zalgiris

Nationality/College: Lithuanian

2017-18 stats: 11.9 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.1 steals per game (Alba Berlin)

Career synopsis: Back with Zalgiris after coming up in their development system, the 24-year old has slowly emerged as a strong talent over two years with Tenerife in Spain and Alba Berlin in Germany. His most notable achievement was winning Finals MVP in the inaugural FIBA Basketball Champions League, the third tier of European club competition, with Tenerife.

Representative Highlight Play:

What’s his skill set?: Grigonis kills you in unbalanced situations on offense. He’s a solid transition scorer, and thrives attacking in two-on-ones or three-on-twos, where his driving game and court vision shine through. He’s also a pretty established sniper from 3, hitting 46.6 percent from deep last season.

What makes him special?: Grigonis appears poised to grab the playmaking mantle from the departed Kevin Pangos at Zalgiris this year. He’s passed every test he’s been faced with as a secondary playmaker at the lower levels of continental competition, and has a title under his belt with Tenerife. Now, he has the chance to shine as Sarunas Jasikevicius’s next star development project. The bottom ten of this list has featured a lot of future stars at the Euroleague level, but among this group, none seems more poised to deliver on that promise than Grigonis.
