Week 9: Oct. 27 – Clemson vs. Florida State (Tallahassee, FL)

The Florida State Seminoles had one of the most strange seasons a program could have in 2017. They lost their starting quarterback for the year at the beginning of the season and then had games postponed due to Hurricane Irma.

A strange start caused the Seminoles to never really get going, but there was one bright spot on the season. Running back Cam Akers set freshman records at the running back spot and proved he is going to be something special.

He has an opportunity to be college football’s next big superstar. He’s a powerful running back with great speed that runs through contact at each level. By the end of October, Akers should have some big numbers on the board already.

That’s why one of the best battles of the upcoming ACC season should be host to College GameDay. In Week 9, Florida State hosts the Clemson Tigers in Willie Taggart’s biggest game of the season in his first year as head coach.

Akers trying to run against perhaps the best defensive line in the country is going to be quite the viewing experience. These two always have a war on the field and this game could be a special one in the end.
