Week 13: Nov. 24 – Auburn vs. Alabama (Tuscaloosa, AL)

When it comes to rivalry games in college football, the final week of the regular season before conference championship weekend is when most take place. Rivalry games are what fuels college football and the chance to take bragging rights is the most appealing.

Very few rivalry games come close to the impact of the Iron Bowl between the Auburn Tigers and the Alabama Crimson Tide. This game always carries SEC Championship Game implications and even potential national championship game implications.

Several moments over the years have created for some exciting highlights. It’s hard to forget the kick-six that occurred in Auburn when they defeated Alabama in one of the most thrilling games ever on a missed kick that was returned for a touchdown.

Alabama has won plenty of games in this rivalry that has boosted them toward a national championship run. These two programs absolutely hate each other and a win means everything in this game.

Should these two come into this battle with a trip to the SEC Championship Game on the line, College GameDay will certainly be making what could be their second trip to Tuscaloosa on the year.
