Week 4: Sept. 22 – Texas A&M vs. Alabama (Tuscaloosa, AL)

A huge SEC showdown is coming your way in Week 4. The Alabama Crimson Tide will host the Texas A&M Aggies in Tuscaloosa. For the second year in a row, Jimbo Fisher and Nick Saban will be squaring off.

The two met last season when Alabama defeated Florida State in the season opener. Now, Fisher leads the Aggies and will have his second huge test of the season. The Aggies have the Clemson Tigers on the schedule in Week 2 and the Crimson Tide in Week 4.

Facing the two programs that have ruled college football the last few years both in September, will provide plenty of experience for what Fisher is trying to build. Perhaps facing Clemson before Alabama will make the Aggies battle tested.

Nonetheless, this is appointment viewing and a reminder of why the SEC tends to rule the spotlight. The game features everything from top talent to coaching. Should this game not be selected for College GameDay, which seems like a longshot, there are some other games to watch for.

TCU and Texas will meet in a Big 12 Showdown, while Stanford and Oregon meet out west. Still, it’s hard to see any other game being picked up but Alabama and Texas A&M. The defending national champions will get their opportunity to host College GameDay.
