Predicting when every NHL team will win its next Stanley Cup

St. Louis Blues
They’re close. Really close.
The St. Louis Blues are another NHL club that’s been snake bitten and hasn’t been able to get over the hump to win a Stanley Cup. The city of St. Louis has only witnessed its Blues reach the Stanley Cup Final three times, and the last time St. Louis went to the fourth round of the playoffs was in 1970.
So, yes, it’s been a while.
However, the Blues have a number of key skaters that are ready to blossom into champions and deliver a Cup to St. Louis. Brayden Schenn and Vladimir Tarasenko are both 26 and in their prime years to produce on the score sheet, plus Jayden Schwarts panned out to be a nice commodity down the middle of the ice for the team.
That’s just the start, though.
St. Louis had an excellent offseason and followed through with the necessary sacrifices to win a title, now. The Blues acquired another dynamic goal-scorer in Ryan O’Reilly from the Buffalo Sabres, and added even more depth at center by inking Tyler Bozak to a three-year deal. Let’s not forget about the team adding two power forwards who can produce in Patrick Maroon and David Perron, either.
None of those four players mentioned above would be able to be the main star on a club to be relied upon to win a title, but the fact that they’re all now playing together on the same team, in addition to other skaters mentioned above – it takes a ton of pressure off of everyone out there on the ice.
Entering 2019, the Blues have something that a majority of clubs wish they had, which is options and depth. It’s not a good mix in St. Louis, it’s the right one.
Don’t worry St. Louis, goaltender Jake Allen is the netminder to help the Blues win their first ever Stanley Cup in 2019. He just wanted to keep the fans on edge and build up the dramatics and his story that much more.
